Desjardins Repeats as DIRTcar NE Sportsman Modified Series Champion Mathieu Desjardins of Sorel-Tracy Quebec earned the 2015 DIRTcar NE Sportsman Modified Series championship with a 4th-place finish in the 50-lap Fall Nationals finale at Brockville Ontario Speedway. Desjardins, driving the St. Martin Motorsports/Jean Preville Excavation Bicknell chassis No. 1m, was fourth to the line behind race winner Dylan Evoy of Brockville, Shane Pecore and Corey Wheeler. NAPA Super DIRT Week Sportsman Modified Winner Found in Violation of Rules During Post-Event Inspection

Victory awarded to race’s runner-up Rocky Warner SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Oct. 13, 2015 – The DIRTcar Sportsman Modified driven by James Michael Friesen in Sunday’s DIRTcar Sportsman Modified feature event at NAPA Super DIRT Week was found to be in violation of DIRTcar rules. The car was disqualified for violating DIRTcar Rule 15.1, which prohibits alterations to the Chevrolet Performance engine, including tampering with seals. SYRACUSE, N.Y. – October 11, 2015 – In his second ever and last appearance on the “Moody Mile” at the New York State Fairgrounds, James Michael Friesen of St. Catharines, ON wired the field in a dominant performance after starting third in a 36-car field. The 30-lap race had eight cautions, but no one, including runner-up Rocky Warner of Gloversville, N.Y., was able to draw alongside Friesen’s Manchester Cable No. 52. Warner Outduels Desjardins for DIRTcar Sportsman Victory at Can-Am Motorsports Park

LaFARGEVILLE, N.Y. – June 3, 2015 – Rocky Warner and Mathieu Desjardins waged a 35-lap green-to-checkers, wheel-to-wheel duel on Wednesday night at Chapman’s Can-Am Motorsports Park in the DIRTcar Sportsman Modified main event with Warner eventually grabbing the checkered flag.
